Kids Do Not Try This At Home

                                                            Photo creds to Kylie Godfrey

My adventure this 4th of July was a bit different from the years before, it involved scaling down the side of a 60 foot rock wall, epic air time, and of course fire works!!!!

On 4th of July I made plans with my lovely boyfriend josh, and best friend jewel, at the moment we didn't know those plans involved such an adrenaline rush.

We decided to go swimming at our local quarry, so we shimmied into our bathing suits and hit the road ready for an adventure. Once we got there be began our journey Once we got there we began our journey down the trail to the quarry, the winding dirt path lead on for a while , we walked kicking up dust behind us. Finally. We had made it to the edge of the quarry where there were 25, 30, 60, and 75 foot drops from rocks on the side of the lake, this is where it got exciting. We kicked off our shoes, and started our climb down to the 30 foot jump, there is a rope tied to a tree up top that you can hold onto and scale down the rock wall with. After some slipping and sliding, we made it to the 30 foot jumping rock, this is where the adrenaline kicks in, Josh went first, he walked over to the edge of the rock and jumped right in, (well, there may have been a manly scream in the free fall somewhere), then it was my turn, standing on that rock I had second guesses, but after lots of convincing I jumped. The free fall may have been one of the scariest things I've yet to experience, I screamed like a little girl, I may have possibility peed myself, but I did it two more times after that. We even swam across the quarry and did a 15 foot jump from a swing rope a few times (till I promptly belly flopped). Latter on once we were water logged, we headed back into town where we met my brother for a lovely fireworks show, as the sky lit up I knew it would be a fourth of July to remember.
